SUMMARY:SPARK Day: Surface Treatment Approaches to Address Flow Assurance Issues
DESCRIPTION:On November 18th\, Oceanit and its partners will be hosting a SPARK day entitled “Surface Treatment Approaches to Address Flow Assurance Issues” via a live ZOOM presentation. SPARK stands for Special Presentation of Advanced Research & Knowledge. These special one-day events are focused on Oceanit’s advanced product deployments. \nFlow assurance issues associated with oil and gas pipelines remain central to economic and safe development of fields. Major flow assurance related challenges include corrosion\, erosion and deposition of different solids on the surface (such as hydrates\, waxes\, asphaltenes etc). These issues are frequently managed using highly expensive remediation steps including thermal\, chemical\, or mechanical means to reduce the risk of deposition. Unmitigated accumulation of these solids can lead to safety concerns as well as costly maintenance\, including the possibility of complete plugging of lines in worst-case scenarios. Oceanit\, in collaboration with the Colorado School of Mines Center for Hydrate Research and the Department of Energy/National Energy Technology Laboratory\, will present recent findings on Surface Treatment Nanocomposite Technologies which offer an alternative method of passive treatment for flow assurance solids. Guest speakers for this event will include subject matter experts from Colorado School of Mines\, Department of Energy\, major industry contributors\, as well as Oceanit technology leaders. \nIf you are interested in tuning in to this SPARK day\, please contact info@oceanit.com.  ZOOM invites will be sent via email in advance of the November date.
