Phase 1: Get Started

Step 1: Initial Submission & ADM Approval

  • 30% Schematic Design Plans
  • Lease verification
  • Cultural Integration Compliance
  • Project Development Form
  • Send TIP to [email protected]

Step 2: PMO Preliminary Review

  • Following ADM conceptual approval, PMO reviews for completeness per TIG requirements
  • Please be aware that there will be additional communication for revision requests.

Phase 2: Comprehensive Design Review

Step 3: DOTA Lease & Design Review

  • AIR-PM Property Management Section Lease verification prior to beginning design review.
  • Multi-Section Engineering Branch review
    • AIR-ED: Design Section
    • AIR-EP: Planning Section
    • AIR-ER: Program Management Office
    • AIR-EE: Environmental Section
  • Following completion, 100% Construction Document Plans required.
    • Design plans, specifications, environmental compliance, safety/security plans, cost estimate, construction schedule
  • Comprehensive review of 100% plans by all Engineering Branch sections
    • AIR-EC: Construction Section
    • AIR-ED: Design Section
    • AIR-EE: Environmental Section
    • AIR-EG: Drafting Section
    • AIR-EM: Facilities Management Section
    • AIR-EP: Planning
    • AIR-ER: Program Management Office
    • AIR-LF: Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting

Step 4: PMO informs tenant of comments and notice of approval or requests revisions through AIR-E letter

  • If revisions are requested, go back to step 3.

Phase 3: Construction

  • Permit to Perform Work on State Airport Property Form Permit to Perform Work on State Airport Property (M.1-5)
  • Tenant submits Application for interruption of Airport Services (Outage Request Form)
  • Following Permit to Perform Work on State Airport Property (M.1-5) approval, if the work may impact surrounding tenants, airport operations, or airport users, the tenant must complete and submit an Outage Request form. Requirements for outages are outlined in paragraphs 3.3.6 G (Utility Services and Charges) and paragraph 3.5.5 (Schedule Utility Outage) in the TIG-Manual-1.pdf.
  • Final approval & Notice to Proceed
  • Once all review is complete and approved, the tenant receives a completed M.1-5 permit to perform work on state airport property from DOTA.

Phase 4: Closeout

  • Following TIP closure, tenant must submit As-Built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties and guarantees and final Certificate of Compliance.
