IN THE NEWS | Dr. Pat Sullivan, Titan of Technology

On Thursday, February 28th, Pacific Business News hosted the first annual Titans of Technology Awards. These awards celebrate those contributing to a culture of technology leadership and innovation in the state of Hawai’i.  The recognition was divided into the categories of ‘leader’, for which Oceanit founder/CEO Dr. Pat Sullivan was nominated as a finalist, ‘Company’, which in which Oceanit was a finalist, and ‘startup’ which celebrated newly formed tech start-ups based in Hawai’i.

Among many noteworthy and impressive Company category finalists were Hawaiian Telcom, Computant, DRFortress, Holu Energy, Hui Car Share, Servco Mobility Lab, Rehab Hospital of the Pacific, and simplicityHR.

The nominees for Leader included Matthew Chapman from University of Hawai’i West, Aaron Dengler from Punahou School, Burt Lum of DBEDT, Habibur “Francis” Lulu of CompuTant, and Kelly Ueoka of Pacxa. Dr. Sullivan was ultimately named Titans of Technology Leader 2019, recognizing his contributions to Hawaii’s STEM fields, scientific contributions, and community outreach along with his clear dedication to the company itself.

Oceanit is honored to be included among our peers and other finalists, and appreciate their contributions and hard work in the community that we are all a part of. The Startup honor was received by HealthTechApps Inc, and the other finalists included aXessPoint, Blue Planet Energy, Carbon Lighthouse, Jun Innovations, Kuehnle Agrosystems, and Smart Yields.
