May 1, 2023 | Last week, Oceanit’s Director of Product, Matthew Sullivan joined Offshore Magazine’s Editor and Director of Special Reports, Ariana Hurtado to discuss the cutting edge research and development being done at Oceanit, along with the new products being deployed for the decarbonization of energy.
Ahead of Oceanit’s EDGE Technology Showcase event held on May 2nd, and the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Sullivan shared his insights on Oceanit’s work in thermal efficiency, clean hydrogen, advanced metamaterials, and hydrogen-enabling technologies that will help to speed up the global energy transition. He shared how Oceanit works as a Mind to Market company, to deliver disruptive innovations from a unique perspective.
The wide-ranging conversation covered technologies like DragX – a nanocomposite for pipeline integrity, ULTRA – Oceanit’s high bandwidth wireless communications system for the the underwater IoT, SCIN – a Shell collaboration in the Gulf of Mexico for offshore platforms, newer hydrogen technologies such as HALO for extracting clean hydrogen from produced water, and more.
