Nineteen open-minded, action-oriented executives from 13 public and private agencies convened at Oceanit’s Design Thinking Lab on a Saturday to learn how to better implement and drive innovation at work. During the one-day bootcamp, attendees learned techniques to transform their culture and find the right processes, tools, and techniques to:
· Empathize to develop deeper insights
· Improve interview and observation techniques
· Define and reframe problems based on the emotional needs
· Develop a try-it mentality through rapid prototyping and iteration
· Learn how to embrace diversity of opinion using a common process for design
· Empower coworkers to use design thinking to drive innovation
