We are excited to announce that applications for the Oceanit 2026 Summer Internship Program are now open!
Class of 2026, this is your opportunity to challenge the status quo and apply your skills in technology, engineering, and science to real-world projects. At Oceanit—one of Hawai‘i’s largest and most forward-thinking innovation companies—we push the limits of what’s possible. Our culture of Intellectual Anarchy empowers you to think creatively, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to groundbreaking solutions shaping the future of science, engineering, and technology.
Apply your technology, engineering, and science knowledge in the Oceanit Student Intern (OSI) Program next summer. Candidates are selected based on education, skills, career aspirations, and current business requirements. Specific available intern positions by specialty will be posted here, and we look forward to welcoming another outstanding intern class.
Please note: This internship does not provide a housing stipend or travel budget, so applicants should plan accordingly.
What will you do as a summer intern?
- Collaborate with Oceanit scientists, engineers, and professional staff on a wide array of exciting R&D projects. You might develop a mobile app, build AI computer vision models, restore a wetland, stabilize beach erosion, or work with advanced meta- and nano-materials that could revolutionize our future—the possibilities are endless.
- Conceive and develop your own innovative project proposal and present it to the Review Committee as a final capstone project. Many past projects have resulted in products and services for clients.
- Participate in fieldwork or visit client sites to help solve complex challenges and deliver real value to the community.
