Congratulations to Oceanit’s COO, Jan Sullivan, who was selected as an honoree for the 2022 Pacific Business News (PBN) Women Who Mean Business.
Jan Naoe Sullivan is amongst the 32 honorees from diverse backgrounds across the Hawaiian Islands who make up the 2022 Women Who Mean Business. This year’s honorees are the 24th annual Women Who Mean Business, or WWMB, class. PBN’s 2022 WWMB awards ceremony will recognize the strides being made by some of the most influential women in Hawaii’s business community, covering industries from health care and technology, to finance, education and tourism.
Jan has served as Oceanit’s Chief Operating Officer since 2000, leveraging her extensive business acumen in support of Oceanit’s mission to grow jobs in the tech industry and further the diversification of Hawaiʻi’s economy.
Prior to Oceanit, Jan served as Chief Planning Officer & Director for the City & County of Honolulu, where she oversaw and managed the consolidation of three separate departments into a single department, in what was the largest reorganization in the City & County’s history. Jan also managed the department and oversaw the launch of the state’s first electronic permit tracking system. She received her B.A. from the University of Colorado, and her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law.
PBN will also honor the career achievements of Susan Murray, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu.
