Oceanit has been awarded the Army Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Achievement Award for the development of its Fast as Light Assessment of Snipers and Hostile fire (FLASH) detection system. Each year, the Achievement Award recognizes exceptional Army SBIR projects on the basis of originality and innovation, relevance to the Army mission, immediate commercialization potential, and overall quality performance. A distinguished panel of Army and industry experts review projects nominated from across the Army and select the best in small business research development. This year, 471 projects were eligible to compete for this award and only 11 were selected.
