HOUSTON — May 6, 2022 | Oceanit’s Honolulu and Houston teams combined forces this past week for a series of disruptive technology talks and demonstrations in Houston, TX. Oceanit delivered five presentations at the 2022 Offshore Technology Conference and hosted the Oceanit 2022 Energy Transformation Technology Showcase at Houston’s Greentown Labs incubator space. The presentations and tech demos were part of Oceanit’s new EDGE initiative to drive global energy transformation priorities like Energy efficiency, green hydrogen, sustainable energy, and decarbonization.
Over 200 people joined Oceanit at Greentown Labs Houston on Tuesday, May 3rd and were treated to live demonstrations of innovations like HeatX and DragX, which are leading the ongoing clean tech revolution in the energy sector. Attendees included major thought leaders and stakeholders in the energy space and beyond, from the traditional supermajors like Chevron, Shell, and Eni, to green tech startups, service companies, and government. In all, Oceanit’s Technology Showcase featured 14 disruptive innovations being driven from mind to market, covering expertise areas from energy efficiency and decarbonization, to aviation and agriculture, and more.
The launch of Oceanit’s new EDGE platform (Energy Decarbonization for the Global Environment) serves as a declaration to address next-generation energy challenges. The EDGE ” in-house incubator” is driving the development of advanced materials to upgrade efficiency, improve safety, and that can be endowed with ‘smart’ responses, building next-gen AI to safeguard and enhance infrastructure and systems, developing decarbonization technologies, and enabling clean and sustainable fuels, like green hydrogen.
After two long pandemic years away, the Houston technology showcase event led to some wonderful re-connections and discussions with our friends, colleagues, and partners. Oceanit is excited to keep these new discussions going as we advance our EDGE agenda and address this era’s most critical energy transformation challenges.
