During the 2024 holiday season, the Oceanit Ohana partnered with HUGS Hawaii (Help, Understanding, & Group Support) to bring a little extra joy and support to local families caring for seriously ill children. HUGS supports Hawaii families with children up to age 21 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness or disease.
Oceanit employees donated over $1,000, in cash, food, Christmas toys, and other gifts to support HUGS Hawaii’s mission to provide critical emotional and financial help to those facing immense challenges this holiday season—because everyone deserves a break now and then. HUGS Hawaii has been a beacon of hope to families across the islands since 1982. They help families battling illnesses ranging from cancer to cardiac and kidney conditions—ensuring that no family has to navigate those difficult journeys alone.
“Our partnership with HUGS Hawaii reflects Oceanit’s commitment to building a kinder, more compassionate community,” said Dr. Patrick K. Sullivan, CEO of Oceanit. “We’re proud to stand with an organization that brings comfort and hope to families who need it most.”
Oceanit’s annual holiday giving initiatives reflect our broader mission to inspire innovation and compassion in young minds, fostering opportunities for the future.
