Altino Coding for Teachers: 1-Day Honolulu Complex Course
Washington Middle School WA, United States"Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think." - Steve Jobs This is a one-day introduction to coding for non-technical, non-coding teachers being sponsored by the Hawaii Dept of Education, Honolulu Complex. No experience needed. Teachers from all subject areas are welcome. In fact, we're looking for non-STEM and non-technical teachers, so please join us! Using the fun Altino autonomous cars, we have trained more than 300 adults, of which 175+ are teachers since 2017 with a 99% completion rate. One day of Altino coding, 10 dates to choose from, 25 seats per session (students are encourage to attend with their teacher). Free, with priority given to Honolulu Complex Area DOE teachers! (Kaimuki-McKinley-Roosevelt), transform education in Hawaii by bringing creative problem solving to every student in Hawaii by teaching 5000 non-technical teachers how to code. We will announce future dates for the next 3 day / 3 credit PDE3 in coding for Spring Break 2019 Dates & times: Classes start at 8:00am and go until 2:30pm.
