Honolulu, HI, Dec. 22, 2023 – Embracing the holiday spirit, Oceanit partnered with Youth Outreach (YO!) this winter to support street-identified youths. Our Oceanit ohana rallied together, raising over $800 and collecting 100lbs of essentials, benefiting approximately 150 youths at YO! ‘s annual holiday party.
“Our team’s support for this supply drive fills me with pride and gratitude. These contributions will surely brighten the holiday season for these young individuals,” expressed Jan Sullivan, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Oceanit.
YO!, a collaborative program by Hale Kipa and Waikiki Health in Oahu, annually aids hundreds of runaway, homeless, and street-identified youths up to 22 years old. Besides offering a drop-in center open four days a week after school, YO! provides medical and social services, employment support, and basic necessities like food, showers, clothing, and laundry facilities. It also offers a safe space for youths to rest. On Dec. 22, YO! hosted its annual holiday party, distributing backpacks filled with supplies with Oceanit contributions.
Aiming to foster a better future for these youths, Oceanit employees and their families contributed essentials such as clothes, hygiene products, and food. The remaining supplies from the holiday party will support thousands of youths throughout the coming year.
